I Write, I Breathe

I am a writer....a master and protector of words. "Like a knife, words should be handled carefully. They can cut deeply, the wound may never heal, and the scars may remain for an eternity. Or they can be used to make space to plant a seed - where fruition births legacy and feeds generations on hope, goodness, and love of humanity." ~Ey Wade

Ey Wade is genius! Keke Chanel

The first book I read by my next author spotlight blow me away. The way she intertwined her characters and the powerful message it conveyed caught me by a pleasant surprise. I experienced so many emotions reading the book, I didn’t understand why. Not until I realized one of the characters hit too close to home. Life happens. It will be okay. These are the things Ey’s book zapped me with. Since then, I have become a fan. Her writing style is different, different meaning, off the charts! Once you read one, you won’t be able to stop until you read them all. Kickin’ It With KeKe…

Those Who Jump Out of the Boat

Hi, I'm So Glad Stopped In....

Domestic Abuse and Fiction. #reallifehappens The Women of the Hill by Ey Wade #relationships #romance

Check out a scene from The Women of the Hill. It focuses on Tone'ya and her struggle to stay away from her abusive husband.
My mom read this book before she passed away, I will never forget how angry she was at me.
The Women of the Hill is an affair to remember. It is the first book in the series Yes, Sam Takes Care of Me. Sam a jealous provider and protector who simultaneously gives and takes away in this tale of five female friends sharing in the trials and humiliations of having a relationship with the same person.

PHYLLIS PRICE fell in love, bought what she thought would be a family home, became pregnant, her man ran off, she lost her job and now struggles as a single mother. How much different is her situation from the woman living next door? Not very, because each of the five women living at the end of the cul de sac on Hill Lane is entangled in an enslaving humiliating relationship with the same person, Sam. Through the writings of her memoirs Phyllis employs flashbacks and subtle weaving of conversations with her five friends to explain the presence of Sam as the heavy observance of a jealous lover. It takes the death of one of them to severe the ties and conjures up the ‘fairytale’ happy ending.

RAYNE MOORE 18 and the youngest member of the group, is a mother of a son and living with an older man. FRANKIE DUZ, home schools her children baby sits on the side and JENNY NEEDS is a teacher in the public schools and a parent of four children whose husband left her for a cousin. At four o’clock in the evening on a daily basis the women get together at Phyllis’ house to watch Oprah, eat snacks and discuss the events of their day. They call it their ‘Stress Bashin’ Session’. During one of these sessions, she is coaxed into hooking up with Sam. After filling mounds of paper and waiting for hours in his office, she is rejected. Feeling humiliated and unwanted Phyllis returns home and dauntlessly struggles to keep her finances. Just as she is sinking into the red and the job is about to play out, TONE’YA KNOES a physically abused divorced mother of two daughters, attending college in the hope of starting a nursing career is the group’s know-it-all. She explains the slight deceptions that are necessary to become one of Sam’s privileged and pays the ultimate price when it becomes obvious they must separate.

Saving Yourself While Writing #amwriting #amediting #itorturemyself

Have you ever been so deep into your current body or bodies of work and you forget about...  everything, everyone, and yourself?
Me after shopping
The past few weeks have been like that for me. Trying to push the clock, when I am my time keeper, has revealed a real monster. Me.

Unintentionally, I setup a goal that was beyond human endurance and worked myself into a peripherally damaged state of health and literally heard my body say- and my mind shout, "you're gonna die."
Long story short, I wasn't eating well, if I ate at all. Most days it would be 3pm or later before I remembered I hadn't eaten or drunken anything all day. And that's after waking at 3 - 4 in the morning.
Result, I began noticing when I stood to walk, 2 or 3 steps was all I could manage until my heart rate skyrocketed like the beat would burst through the veins at the side of my neck, steal all of my energy, make me feel like vomiting, and the edges of my world dimmed. I literally felt like I was dying.

After a few more days of this, I vowed I would do better and take care of myself, while in the grocery store (for some healthy eats) I began to feel as if I were shutting down. My hearing was diminishing, sight, strength. I had to leave the shopping to my daughter and encourage myself to take the steps to the car. All the time my brain kept saying, you're gonna die. Who am I, an author, not to listen to the voices in her head? I believed myself and decided to fight against it.

Now, I have a loving sister-from-another-mother, who texts me throughout the day to remind me to take care of myself. I've set a timer for every 20 minutes to remind me to drink water and every 3 hours to eat something nutritional.
Best of all, I pulled out the mineral drops, feel energized and ready to live again.
Moral of the story: you are more important than anything you can write.

Whats your story that would have made you the main character in a novel of ill advice?

The Choosing of a Platform. I'm all About the Demand for Action in Life

Something to think about, huh? I found my writing platform and have started tap dancing on it. The premise fits my style so well. I have read a lot about the need for having one and could never really figure out what to build on, now I know.
After following a few articles from recommendations on Twitter I became aware of headlines which fit so well with manuscripts I have been working on. I found it amazing how close headlines fit to the works of the written word.

I shared my platform on a friend's  when I first began writing and received some cool feedback. Finding a Platform

My platform is based on the premise life demands action. Whether it is nonfiction, YA depicting bullying and teen pregnancy, picture books teaching morals and life skills, the controversy of abortions and infertility, or a novel featuring love and the running from said love. Making a statement will be the goal.
There are many things happening in the world which ticks me the hell off. I, as a citizen in the ‘real’ world can’t change society with a flick of my hand, but my laptop keys can kick butt and change fallacies. I can write people to fulfill my dreams. I can have them do what needs to be done and get away with it.
Because I think a proven rapist (especially of a child) should be caught, then beaten to death on the spot. Because I am tired of injustices in the judicial system where it seems sexual predators, pedophiles, and deviants have lenient sentences or get away with their crime-  I wrote the novel, The Fishing Trip, where the good guy is the grey matter.

In The Fishing Trip a man named Durham takes revenge on all of the child molesters in the small town where he lived as a child. This town where perverts are prevalent. In the novel some of the most violent and horrendous acts on children are performed and the abusers faced no consequences  or retribution.
In my opinion anyone who has the sick mind to rape and/or commit other acts of violence on children, should just accept the fact they will die without a trial.
I know it’s not as easy as black and white in the real judicial world, but I bet if redemption fell hard on creeps like that, this sort of crime would end quickly, I'm just sayin'. The book has received some pretty good reviews, so far. All which have made me start working on a set of books to match.
There are other countries that don't play with this aspect of society. In the hope of helping people get to know my characters I developed a blog where I interview the characters from my books. THE FISHING TRIP @ In the Chair .
Come over and get to meet them.
My life demanding action platform (which must have been festering in my subconscious) caused me to write Beads on a String America's Racially Intertwined History. You can learn all about the reasons behind this enormous feat HERE.
The Perfect Solution which is about a woman who decides she wants a certain child, and she goes and takes him. Or should I say, he is given to her by the teacher entrusted with his care. The book goes all into the negligence that can be found in the childcare center profession Bertha Wall, the owner of the center was the first characters to sit In the Chair.
These are just a few of my steps unto my platform. I shall be polishing my words, strengthening my platform and building me a bookshelf. Because I shall write the best novels and I will need a place to put all my published books.

About the Author: I am a caged in frustrated author of thought provoking, mind bending e-books, an occasional step-in parent, a fountain of knowledge, and ready to share. Knowing me as a writer and author is like cracking an egg’s shell in the air and wondering how far the splatter will spread. All of my books are available for direct purchase  through my web page along with all the traditional place.

What do you think about this approach?   Do you steer clear of controversy?    Would you like to change the world with your writing?   Have you decided what your writing platform should be?

I love it when I get feedback. Please leave me some
    • YeamieWaffles: I already love Ey Wade's style of writing and I haven't even checked out her blog yet. I'm so glad that you feel like you've finally found your platform and wish you the best of luck in your book and future Ey.
    • Ciara: Being a mother who has witnessed two men, who worked around my children and church and the YMCA, be arrested for this, I'd like to see a better system. Thank goodness my kids were safe. I guess being paranoid with my kids has paid off.
    • L. Diane Wolfe: We do need a better system. I was lucky I established my platform early, as everything revolves around my speaking now.
    • Karen Lange: Thank you, Lee, for sharing Ey with us! I find her approach refreshing and thought provoking.
    • cleemckenzie: I love "poetic justice," and I when I write anything I think about it. It's something that doesn't often happen in real life, but it's something that can happen if we want it to in our stories. The thing to avoid when poetic justice is uppermost in your mind and you're typing away is the cliche. That's the hard part.Great to meet you here on Tossing It Out!
    • Alex J. Cavanaugh: Tough subjects to tackle but somebody has to!
    • Lena Winfrey Seder: Ey, glad you have found your platform. And it really helps to be passionate for a cause and to write about it. Writing should be used as a positive tool to make change in the world. And sometimes there needs to be some controversy to force things to get done. Good luck on your book and in everything you do!
    • Theresa Milstein: Arlee, thanks for introducing me to Ey Wade. Life demands action is a wonderful philosophy. I do shy away from topics on my blog, but I don't think anything would be off limits in a book, if the idea/character came to me.
    • Carol Kilgore: I agree with Theresa.
    • P V Ariel: Hi Arlee,Good to be here again.Good Post Indeed, but can't fully agree with the punishment she wants to give the guilty. Its practically not possible, but at the same time they must not escape the law of the land. They must be rewarded with severe punishments, but not to the utmost of killing, that is to be left out to the creator of the universe. Thanks Arlee for introducing her thru these pages. Best,Philip
    • J.L. Campbell: Ey sounds like quite a radical. As a writer, I tell my stories even if the subjects are controversial. I wouldn't be true to myself if I avoid telling a tale that I have strong feelings about.
Ey Wade: Thanks so much everyone for stopping by. I appreciate you liking my writing YeamieWaffles. Thanks for sharing Shelly. Ciara it's really scary not knowing who to trust with the care of your children. Which is why I wrote the novel, The Perfect Solution. After so many years in the profession I have seen a lot.
Again all thank you so much for your comments. I'll be watching to see your writings.
    • DM T Mathieson: The Fishing Trip is a great book and it's impossible not to love Durham. One of Ey's greatest strengths as a writer is her ability to 'tell it like it is'. She's not afraid to speak up for the little people and so that's what she does. Don't ever stop Ey, they need you.
Ey Wade: Thank you so much, MT. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. I have so much more to talk about, I'm no where near stopping.
    • nutschell: I actually agree with Ey in terms of this sexual predators. I think it's the worst possible crime--maybe worse than taking a person's life, is taking his dignity. I'm definitely going to read this book! Nutschell
Ey Wade: Thank you so much. Nutschell I'm really sure you will like The Fishing Trip. Of course I think its a fantastic book, but I've heard from others the book is pretty good.
    • Christine Rains: I'd definitely like to see a better system. As a mother, I'm petrified of anything like that happening to my child. As for my writing, it's more for fun than controversy. My heroines are usually very morale, though, only because that's how I am.

Mind Your Own Vagina. Ismet's Honor
The most dangerous thing about the buffer zone being removed between the ranters and the women handling their lives, is the fact most clinics are set in strip malls.

So, when any woman walking to a store near these clinics, stands the chance of being harassed and maybe even hurt by someone who should mind their own business, it is a potentially dangerous situation.

Eventually, one of those self absorbed little women, praying against another woman who may need treatment for cancer or anything beyond contraception, will face the same treatment.

PRO - LIFE is not tattooed on their foreheads and a sign is not on their back. To every female protesting, YOU will be seen as just another vagina, man controls when it comes to being slurred. I'm always amazed how those who (wrongly)believe they are right, always look the angriest and craziest.
The Abortion Law(named so to stir up anger) was about health care, cancer screening, preventative care for men and women. As with any propaganda, the HEADLINE is to grab your attention. You need to read the blurb and the tiny print to be in the know. They say word of mouth will get the sale...word of mouth can also hurt you, sometimes kill you. Think for yourself.

In Ismet's Honor there is a scene where Sunny, as an ill 16 year old girl, abandoned by her mother has to cross through the crowd of overzealous ranters to visit one of the only clinics in her town.
ABOUT THE BOOK- Sunny Verdi Reyes, has always wanted the “good-life.” Husband, home, lot’s of children. After cheering on her best friend and fellow embryologist Belle, through her successful quest for her dream, she wanted those things even more.
Unfortunately, Sunny broke the heart of her fantasy years earlier and it would take more than wishful thinking to get him back.
At 17, unable to voice his opinion against an unwanted abortion, Ismet Honorable O’Neal ran from the girl who killed his dream of the perfect life and the white picket fence.
Now he spends his time aiding other men in being the voice in the lives of their children.
Years later, he returns and Sunny is waiting.
She’s going to need more than the love in her eyes to repair the fences.

Enjoy a small snippet from the scene:

The small flower pattern on the back of Belle’s shirt intermittently faded in an out. Sunny tried to keep her attention focused on it. Her head had started hurting on the ride to the clinic and all she wanted to do was close her eyes. She’d stumbled a bit while getting out of the car and removing her things.

Belle was immediately at her side, grabbing one of the bags and leading the way. The grip she had on her hand, the support needed to continue going.
Sunny elbowed her way through the crowd of protesters blocking the entrance to the clinic. Their volatile, demeaning, chants, berating every female trying to enter as killers and trying- angered her.
Holding tight to Belle's hand, she shook off the unexpected grasp on her elbow. An older woman, face red and pinched, stared into her face, damning her to the fires of hell. Any other day, Sunny would've taken the words in stride and said nothing, but the woman's condemnation and her self righteous attitude was her undoing.

Trying to Make It About You Doesn't Make it About You ~ Ribbons & Belle #abortion #endinwantedpregnancy #romance

I believe in life and the rights of those to control their own lives and the lives of those entrusted to them. Whether it's to make choices others find unacceptable or desirable and was extremely happy the Supreme Court struck down two laws written by Texas.

Since the beginning of the year, 30 laws in 14 states have been passed in order to make it harder for women to get abortions. Here are a few of the big numbers. A graphic of recent laws and their particular restrictions by state is here.

Those same erroneously passed laws have the potential to cause you (women) to die from a pregnancy that would sustain no viable life, ectopic for example or have you carry a pregnancy to term that will only produce a severely disabled child. One that would not survive a birth in the first place. Why is that anyone else's business?

I find a  great amount of dark humor within the women thinking they know it all, while standing behind men who will lose nothing when it comes to a cancerous vajayjay.

When you need life saving care. ..there will be no help for you either, booboo. Because you stood in line ranting lie a maniac over the sanctity of another woman's body.

That anger you wear, the dumb, uninformed signs you carry, and the cross you swing around like the talisman of  a voodo chant (depicting someone who is supposed to have gotten off that cross), will not save you.

You as a woman,  will be in the same predicament as the people angry with Obama  care and then having to depend in that same system to save themselves or a loved one, plain and simple, blind lamb-brain stupidity. ROFL.
This turncoat, knee-jerk reactions of tunnel visioned women, are the things that caused me to write Ribbons & Belle.

In Ribbons & Belle, Anabelle has to make a dire decision on ending a much-loved and wanted pregnancy due to a diagnosis of Dandy-Walker Syndrome and other medical issues. When family members and people on her social networks find out, the backlash is excruciating.
"Don't be so dramatic, Belle. We're in this together. All of us."
“Dramatic? Whoa, wait a minute. You think I'm just being dramatic?" The switch from teary eyed woman to ball of angry fire, threw Tyson for a loop and he loosened his hold. "Let's talk about dramatic. Let's talk about all of us, and your sister." Belle brushed away her tears and stood. Slapping Tyson’s protective hands away. “What was going through your mind when you decided to tell Cornelia about Fawn?” Belle punched him in the shoulder with her fist. “I’ve asked you over and over to stop trying to protect me. Now you've messed things up worse than they were."
"How? I just wanted her to understand what's going on between us. I'm tired of going to family visits without you. Hearing the stupid, often cruel comments. You missing out on the love the women show each other throughout their pregnancies."
"Well, you can forget all of that. Cornelia came over and the things she said... I can't repeat,I can't forget, and I can't make her see what I had no choice to do, any differently than she already does. I liked her Tyson and now she sees me as some kind of monster. A baby killer.”
    “No, she doesn’t.”
“Bull. I talked, no I listened to her today and I know better than you, yes she does. First she was only seeing me as the little whore trying to trap her baby brother, something that would eventually have fixed itself. Unless you told her about the procedure, too." She paused for a response. At his negative movement she continued. "I'm surprised. Seems you tell them everything. Doesn't matter now anyway- I’m a killer in her eyes. More than likely in all of their eyes. I used to like her, Tyson. I thought she liked me too, but that’s a big bag of bullshit now. She left here swearing to never speak to me again.
Which brings me to my Facebook page and each of my social media accounts. I had to close all of them because one of your spiteful family members made a negative, ranting post on my page and its gone freaking viral. I knew people were mean and critical, have always read some pretty cruel posts, but once someone has a face to put to their vitriol, they’re ruthless. I’m down to screening my phone calls. What is Dandy-Walker Syndrome?
Dandy-Walker Syndrome is a congenital brain malformation involving the cerebellum (an area at the back of the brain that controls movement) and the fluid-filled spaces around it. The key features of this syndrome are an enlargement of the fourth ventricle (a small channel that allows fluid to flow freely between the upper and lower areas of the brain and spinal cord), a partial or complete absence of the area of the brain between the two cerebellar hemispheres (cerebellar vermis), and cyst formation near the lowest part of the skull. An increase in the size of the fluid spaces surrounding the brain as well as an increase in pressure may also be present.
The syndrome can appear dramatically or develop unnoticed. Symptoms, which often occur in early infancy, include slow motor development and progressive enlargement of the skull. In older children, symptoms of increased intracranial pressure such as irritability and vomiting, and signs of cerebellar dysfunction such as unsteadiness, lack of muscle coordination, or jerky movements of the eyes may occur. Other symptoms include increased head circumference, bulging at the back of the skull, problems with the nerves that control the eyes, face and neck, and abnormal breathing patterns.
Dandy-Walker Syndrome is frequently associated with disorders of other areas of the central nervous system, including absence of the area made up of nerve fibers connecting the two cerebral hemispheres (corpus callosum) and malformations of the heart, face, limbs, fingers and toes.
    Is there any treatment?
Treatment for individuals with Dandy-Walker Syndrome generally consists of treating the associated problems, if needed. A surgical procedure called a shunt may be required to drain off excess fluid within the brain. This will reduce intracranial pressure and help control swelling. Parents of children with Dandy-Walker Syndrome may benefit from genetic counseling if they intend to have more children.
    What is the prognosis?
The effect of Dandy-Walker Syndrome on intellectual development is variable, with some children having normal cognition and others never achieving normal intellectual development even when the excess fluid buildup is treated early and correctly. Longevity depends on the severity of the syndrome and associated malformations. The presence of multiple congenital defects may shorten life span.
    What research is being done?
The NINDS conducts and supports a wide range of studies that explore the complex mechanisms of normal brain development. The knowledge gained from these fundamental studies provides the foundation for understanding abnormal brain development and offers hope for new ways to treat and prevent developmental brain disorders such as Dandy-Walker Syndrome.

Where's My Damned Cape? I Will Be My Own Hero #amwriting #ammarketing #thingslegendsaremadeof

As I  scoured the social networks this morning, I realized I was focusing on a theme. Unconsciously bypassing articles and reading the ones pertaining to business. The points of failure, that makes you into a success.
As a published author with a stack of manuscripts waiting their turn at press, I sometimes longed for a traditional publisher- one that would help me be a success  and not simply feed my ego. Been there(with small press), done that and it is not what its cracked up to be. *shudders*

Did you know there are way too many small publishers popping up and older well established business all fighting for the same thing?

You, me,  the next best seller. I admit, I read through their submission processes, what they're looking for, and they all read the same. Neither is offering anything different or more spectacular than the other.

Neither will be able to make you famous and keep you famous- it all hinders on you.

You are that key. So,  if they can market you, promise you the world, (which they actually don't) why can't you, me- as a publishing company in my own right, not do the same for myself? Who better to focus on my success, than me?

Today, Wade-In Publishing has a new client. She will receive the publishing standard Gold package where all attention is focused on her success and marketing. She will not be left to go it alone.  Stay tuned as we go from newbie to best seller. She just better know, she gotta work, work, work, work, work.

So,  I have tentatively prepared a promotional package. Pop Over and see my DIRECT Sales page.
    • First was to submit the latest books into online websites. Beginning with the free ones.
    • Then a couple of months of die hard promotions.
    •   5-10 blog stops. If I can secure more, I'll do that. My first place to look was on my Pinterest board- See Ey, Hear Ey and reach out to former supporters.
    • Blog stops includes interviews and or guest post
    • Social media blast (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google +)
    • Five (5) Live Author Interviews on Blog Talk Radio, hopefully that will add up to 60 days/2 months- These possible venues were also researched using my Pinterest board.
    • I intend to set myself up a Personalized (fan page) tour page so my guest can peek it out.
    • I have my Media Kits prepared because they each have specifics pertaining to each book. . It contains (author bio, author photo (optional) trailer, book cover, teaser, social media links, buy links)
    • I have also set up a sales page where each book may be purchased directly from me. Links are also on the blogs for each book.
Sounds like a lot of work , but I have my cape, and the dedication to work it out.
As a self-promoter, what are the ways you help push your work?

Ismet's Honor and Ribbons &Belle dive deep into the controversy of abortions, infertility,  the usage of IVF and the questions of father's rights. In today's society, organizations, government and angry argumentative individuals who have no personal stake in the choices women make for their lives, spend their every waking moment fighting to control what is, in essence, not their business.
Not matter what we see played out in media where every pregnancy and woman is lumped into one pile and dealt with accordingly, the individual woman(little girl) and her story is ignored.

Ismet's Honor and Ribbons & Belle bring us into the scenarios that are often overlooked. Nothing is as it seems and no matter what the drooling lynch mobs want to shout, sometimes we need to move into the quiet, step back from our preconceived, religious, personal beliefs and see what's really going on.

In Ribbons &Belle  and Ismet's Honor, the circumstances for abortions, infertility treatments and the other detrimental decisions are faced with huge doses of reality. The reviews are coming in and each book has received positive feedback.

"I thoroughly enjoyed Ribbons and Belle, every luscious and poetic read. Ey Wade has the gift of drawing the reader in allowing them to experience her characters. I felt and knew Belle and was with her on this journey."

A Story That Will Stay With You. By Jude P "This is a heartbreaking story of loss and making controversial decisions. It is not always easy to read but you will love Belle and Tyson. Their story grabs you and pulls you in. You want them both to have their 'happy ever after' but can't see how it can happen. Stay with the story. You will fall in love with Tyson. Here is a man who can give women the child they long for. He has it all but the one woman he truly wants escapes him. Belle has not had an easy time. She is damaged and needs healing. We know the man who can help her heal but she is unsure. Her best friend Sunny is someone that you want in your life. I want more of her story and I am so excited that she has been given one. Ey's writing has clarity and eloquence. We are taken on a journey that seems effortless but tears you apart. You will not be disappointed in this story. Highly recommended the end."

Anita "The story of Tyson and Belle grips you from the first page to the very end. This is a story about love, choices and forgiveness. Belle and her sister Sunny suck you into their silly quirky lives. Once you learn about their history you can't help but cheer for Belle and the course she has charted for her life. Tyson is the man to heal her wounded soul but will Belle allow him to do so.
Ey has written a beautiful story that delves into one of the toughest decision a woman could ever have to make. She tells the story with great clarity and knowledge. Grab some tissues and enjoy the journey."

Kindle customer "Infertility and abortion are two heavy topics to handle in a work of fiction well I couldn't do it. Ey Wade has done an outstanding job telling Tyson & Belle's road to family and relationship. Although a bit awkward at first it is a very enlightening story told from different perspective and circumstances. Well written and engaging. Very happy that I read this book! Approach reading this ready to start conversations because you will be talking about it long after the last page!!!"

"Ribbons & Belle" by Ey Wade on Ganxy

By Jude P "Belle and Tyson's story in Ribbons and Belle was heartbreaking but love won through in the end. Sunny was there for Belle but there was so much that we were not told about her. So many unanswered questions. Now her story has been told and what a story it is! Ey Wade has done it again. This story will break your heart, make you angry, gasp and most definitely root for Ismet and Sunny. Another difficult subject is tackled in this story. We get to see the other side of paternity, the father's side and their rights to their children. Ismet is their hero who fights for their rights. He is a man who is a product of what life has thrown at him. He is the best man for the job. Sunny's life has not been the best and she has suffered at the hands of the people who should have cared for her. She has had to fight for the life she has. Sunny and Ismet should be together but there are so many deep rooted obstacles that you cannot see them achieving what they both want. Ey's writing has the effect of wringing every emotion from you. I loved this story. You will too."

When Being Barren Empties Your Soul #rainbowbabies #infertility #IVF #abortion

I love reader's! They take chances when reading the work of authors. This isa huge deal because words have the power to change lives ans ways of thinking. "Just finished reading "Ribbons & Belle! Wonderful story! You covered a lot of fertility issues! So glad I was brave enough to read it!

Many women have to face the fact they may never have children. I don't know that feeling, but I do know the emptiness and guilt of having one and it leaving not many hours,  later. These emotions are painful and things  I wish no woman had to go through.

I read an article here, the other day that expressed and offered support. Join their Facebook or visit their website Still Standing Magazine

Other women, live with the undeniable feeling, their wanted child is standing at Heavens door, just waiting to be born. Hand picked by their siblings in heaven. Their "rainbow," baby. This is the term used for the first child who is born and survives after (a) miscarriages, the heartbreak of a child being born asleep, or the trauma of a child dying from illness or accident.

This rainbow baby is the long awaited filler of the soul. Not  a replacement, but a loved, long awaited blessing to the heart of the family. Here, you can find support groups to help you through the wait.

As I traveled the net I came across many groups that offer services and support. I'm glad to have learned of these sites. In the U.K. They have The Saying Goodbye Services are the first national set of remembrance services for people who have lost a child at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy, whether the loss be recent or 80-years ago.

In Ribbons & Belle, Anabelle Lee contemplates her actions in trying to achieve her dreams of having a child of her own. It's a beautiful story, receiving pretty good reviews.  Take a peek into a very hard scene.

New Scene from Ismet's Honor. Companion novel to Ribbons & Belle #romance #reallifehappens #abortion

I've come to the conclusion, Ismet's Honor will never see light of day, if I don't write in my notebook first.
I sit at the laptop and my mind wanders to... everything. Looking down at a lined page, pen in hand, my mind is focused and overflowing.
This morning's scene is a crowded mishap on the sidewalk outside of the childcare center Ismet owns.
Turns out, a man in the midst of the fan girls is furious because his daughter lost custody of her little girl. He blames Ismet. All hell breaks loose.
Sunny watched the tears roll down his cheeks and immediately soften the persona of a gruff, belligerent, racist. For a moment she felt sorry for him.Tears burned her eyes. The urge to go through the crowd and offer him a hug, halted by three things happening simultaneously. Someone called his daughter a worthless whore who probably deserved to lose custody, Ismet finally opened the center door, and the man, in his hurt and rage, pulled out a weapon. In one flashing instance, Sunny was yanked securely into the building, bullets flew and everyone scattered. Few making it to safety away from the automatic shots. See What got us here.

Jumping into Control of Wade-In Publishing & Selling on Ganxy

I about Ganxy from a fellow author, Bettye Griffin. I was entranced with the idea of selling my books through my website. When I found out it was possible on the blog and Facebook and 90% of the profit would be mine, my desire became all consuming.  Problem was, I was still with my publisher and could do nothing on my own, with the books that were still connected to them.

This past week or so, big changes were made and the beast had to come out. Afraid, yet determined, I took the reigns of my publishing career, and have jumped in all kinds of directions. The learning capabilities when you have all the control, liberating. After the training of publishing to Amazon, Createspace and Smashwords- this was a walk in the park. I found Online Converter, (a program Bettye suggested) to be the best thing since Cheetos,I love it. The site converts documents into files like ePub,mobi,PDF and others.

Make sure to follow Ganxy's instructions and name each file with the book's title, your name, and the format. Even though I love the idea of having sales directly from my link because I receive more of the money, I added the link to other retailers for those who would prefer to purchase from their favorite online store. The finished products are shown below. I still have the history and picture books to add, but so far, this has been a marvelous experience. I have blogs for each of the novels and have added the showcases to the respective pages. and on my  "Buy Directly From Me" Pinterest board.
As an author there are a few good  reasons to use Ganxy:
    1.  The 90% royalty is a major plus, compared to the much lower of Amazon and BN.
    2. Being able to control contests dates, downloads of free books, price changes, promotional campaigns, and discounts automatically and quickly.
    3. Customer service is terrific.
    4. And there are other ways of promoting
If you decide to take on the Author Showcase for your own self-publishing business, please email Lonnie Rosenbaum at Ganxy- let him know you read it here.

    Ismet's Honor/Ribbon&Belle #abortion #fathersrights #romance #infertility

Ribbons & Belle/Ismet's Honor: 2 novels. Loving the people, they're tossing my emotions like free play at an amusement park.‪#‎amwriting‬ ‪#‎feelingsareexposed‬ ‪#‎reallifehappens‬ ‪#‎infertility‬ ‪#‎abortion‬

Coming: June 2016 Check out the excerpts below.

    BLURB: Ismet’s Honor

Sunny Verdi has always wanted the “good-life.” Husband, home, lot’s of children. After cheering on her best friend and fellow embryologist Belle, through her successful quest for her dream, she wanted those things even more.
Unfortunately, Sunny broke the heart of her fantasy years earlier and it would take m9re than wishful thinking to get him back.
At 17, unable to voice his opinion against an unwanted abortion, Ismet Honor O’Neal ran from the girl who killed his dream of the perfect life and the white picket fence.
Now he spends him time aiding other men in being the voice in the lives of their children.
Years later, he returns and Sunny is waiting.
She’s going to need more than the love in her eyes to repair the fences.

    EXCERPT: Ismet's Honor
“You really gonna let her make you do this? You gonna let her kill our baby?”
“I don’t have a choice. She’s my momma. I’ve only been sixteen two weeks and here I am pregnant with a baby. Met, what can I do with a baby? How can I finish school? Go to college? I can’t be a mom, right now.”
“I thought you loved me. Wanted our baby.”
    “I do.”
He felt her put her hands on his shoulder, he shook it off. The contact seeming to burn him with desire and freeze his heart at the same time. This is the person who in one night soared him to the sky with the announcement she was pregnant and then casually tossed him to the pits of hell with the plans for an abortion. She sat in silence as he opened the door of the car and went to sit on its hood. With every step, he wanted to fall apart. There was nothing he could do. Nothing or no one able to help him. It wasn’t possible to make her carry the baby and then give it to him. Sunny was right, they couldn’t go above her mother’s demands.
With a small turn of his head, he glanced in her direction. There she sat, stone-face in the car. He wondered if she even cared. If the whispers of love she’s mouthed for years was just the fantasy of a teenage girl in her first relationship. Did she even care for him? From the corner of his eyes he watched her staring, as if she were unable to move and join him.
The hurt he was feeling, there was no way Sunny felt anywhere near as helpless and devastated as he was feeling. She had the upper hand. It was her body, her child- until it was dead.
The finality, took the last bit of strength from his body and he fell across the hood of the car, crying loudly in despair. The deep sobs tearing his heart apart. The thud of the metal hitting metal roused him from is misery. A simple hug would’ve meant a lot. A word of comfort or remorse would’ve balmed his spirit. Instead, he watched her shoulder her purse and without a glance in his direction, she strolled up the walk to her mother’s house. The taps of her heels as they walked the sidewalk to the front door, the closing snap, an end to his wishful dreams. All sounds that echoed in his nightmares for years. They were the symphony of the end of his life and the catalyst to many changes.

    Ribbons & Belle
Gorgeous, dedicated fertility counselor Tyson Ribbons, has admired and loved embryologist, Anabelle “Belle” Lee for along time. When she comes in for counseling he fights everything within him not to deter her from her plans.
Doesn’t stop his heart from wishing it could be him fulfilling her desire.

Anabelle Lee, mourning her inability to have a child of her own-suffered through two miscarriages, a heartbreaking late-term abortion, and a soul crushing divorce. After a bit of encouragement from her best friend, and counseling from the very perfect Dr. Ribbons, Anabelle takes steps to fulfill her desire to become a mother.
Problem is, the announcement brings more of a shock than a gift.

Why the rush? Not because he didn't have the time, but because he didn't want to loose his momentum or his nerves. It would be today, no turning back. Tapping the face of his watch and holding up two fingers to his receptionist, he indicated the amount of time he’d be gone!!br0ken!!
She laughed. That knowing chuckle combined with the lift of both of her brows, told him without words, she knew better and exactly where he was going.
Of course she did. It wasn't possible to hide your true self from your sister. Cornelia knew him like a dogeared page. Yeah, she'd make him pay when they were off the job. The teasing would be relentless.
Inwardly, he joined his sister's laughter, chuckling at himself for the an obvious ploy, but he had to see her. Anabelle Lee was like a drug to him. A jolt that awakened him in the mornings and helped him to sleep throughout the night. Visions of her lived within his dreams.
    Tyson Ribbons.”
The demanding tone of his sister’s voice caused an immediate response to her command and he turned in her direction. Old habits died hard. He grew up with her as make shift mom, she followed the same patterns in the office as she wove through their home life, she was the real boss.
Hand in pocket, Tyson tried to stare her down and failed miserably. He sighed before responding, stopping just short of rolling his eyes in irritation because that would make her draw out the conversation even longer.
You’re gonna have to grow some real ones, brother and ask Anabelle out on a date. You can’t keep popping over to take peeks at her as if she’s a treat in a candy store.”
Shudup Corny. I’m just bringing a file over, nothing more.”
Sure you are.” Cornelia turned to face the computer screen, pulling a folder from a pile
